Its nearly christmas
Hello there,
Its feels like its been a very long time since I did a blog post, so here it goes.
Its nearly Christmas... which means presents, long nights and lots and lots of food. Normally at this time of the year, I would be complaining about the cold and walking back from college, however that has all changed and instead, I find myself running back home in time for Christmas.
This week is the last week in university and semester 1 is nearly over, and of course that means home time but also it means exams are near. This year I am not going to let that ruin the festive mood.
I have decided that for the next three weeks, I am going to try my best to blog once a day about my Christmas antics.
Meanwhile, this week I have numerous different events that I been asked to go to and the first thing that crosses my mind is ... what am I to wear ?
So I decided to share with you my little tips for that festive outfit.
TIP ONE : THE MAIN OUTFIT
The very first thing I do is ask myself do I want to wear a dress, a cute skirt and blouse, trouser or a jumpsuit.
Formal : If the event is very formal I always stick to a dress, it makes things easier, however IF I am feeling daring I will put out a black jumpsuit with a low cut back with a sleek gold belt.
Night out : There is always that one event which is held in a hip club, and a dress may sometimes be too formal, this is where I opt for the skirt and blouse combo. Not only is it more comfortable I feel, but it also gives of the more chilled vibe which is always the look I go for when we hit the town.
Dinner: If you are anything like me, you will always be invited to the massive dinner catch up, which are end up being such fun nights. Whenever I go out to eat, I will always stick to black skinny jeans and a blouse or top chunky heels and a blazer. The reason why I stick to that is because its very comfortable which allows me to chill and enjoy the evening and catch up with old friends rather than worry if my dress is ok.
TIP TWO : THE MAKEUP
After picking my outfit the next thing I do is pick what I am going to be doing with my makeup. My go to look is a subtle brown smokey eye, however if I am going out I will always add a little bit of glitter.
The glitter I use is the Barry M shimmer dusts, which can be purchased at Boots or Superdrug. I use the metallic's and they go under my lower lash line just to define my lower lashes.
At Christmas time, my red lipstick makes a special appearance, which is always nice. I stick to a matte finish foundation and a thick cat eye. Topped off with a bold red lip.
If I going out I will always use highlighter. I find highlighter really adds that extra bit to your makeup and really makes certain areas of your face stand out when you apply it. I use the Topshop, highlighter in Crescent Moon. I use it just above my blush on the top of your cheek bones.

TIP THREE : THE SHOES
When I go out I pick from three pairs of shoes, these consist of a pair of black heeled boots, a pair of wedged heels and a pair of nude slingbacks.
These three I find work best with everything as they are comfortable and durable and versatile.
TIP FOUR : HAVE FUN
After spending time to get ready, I always want to make sure I have fun, so surround yourself with people that are special to you, party hard and eat well .
I hope this has helped a little and the next time I speak to you all I shall be at home, getting ready for a action packed three weeks .
